Voluntary Principles funds implementation activities in Nigeria

The Voluntary Principles Initiative has approved and disbursed funds to support the continued implementation efforts of the Voluntary Principles in Nigeria. The grant, valid for a period of one-year, focus on strengthening the implementation of the Voluntary Principles in Nigeria by funding their regular activities until September 2020. The agreement was signed by the Voluntary Principles Association and LITE-Africa, co-chair of the working group. 

Since 2016, representatives from companies, government, and NGOs have been working in partnership to support implementation efforts of the Voluntary Principles in Nigeria. The group meets quarterly.
